Normally, any entrepreneur starts to realize his business goal from scratch, cutting his way to search for the right market. Once the ideal market is found, he then works on establishing his own product or brand. On the other hand, businessman starts with his business by utilizing the already existing marketing platform formulated by the entrepreneur. What is an entrepreneur and what qualities does he possess that makes him different from the ordinary businessman? Generally, an entrepreneur is bold, very ambitious and definitely a risk taker. On the other hand, a businessman leans more on having the typical business goal which is to earn profits. And because of this, he is bound to play it safe. When it comes to personality, the entrepreneur is outgoing and possesses strong character; these traits help him in his desire to be successful despite existing difficult situations. This is the complete opposite of the personality of the traditional businessman, who is serious and focuses mainly on the success of his business by going the normal, tried-and-tested business path. The entrepreneur is more of an innovator who possesses enthusiastic approach to everyday life. He likewise makes sure that his entrepreneurial endeavor does not hinder his healthy relationship with his family and friends.
When it comes to products and services, entrepreneurs are normally more focused on quality rather than big sales and profits. Entrepreneurs are more concerned about how to provide full satisfaction for their clients. Consequently, this results in the creation of a wholesome and values-oriented society in general. While with the traditional type of businessman, hiring people is done with the main purpose of gaining more profits as productivity is increased. Likewise, businessmen hire employees primarily because of their skills which these business owners do not have in the first place.
Lastly, an entrepreneur is willing to risk his capital and skills just to be successful in his business endeavor. He normally works on his own, without an employer or boss. Basically, he uses his own two hands in order to build a successful means of livelihood. He knows his way around any business endeavor because of his own experience or by through exhaustive research. Most importantly, he does not give up on his dream or goal even if the worst of difficulties arise. He simply considers such difficulties or failures as means of learning and a hard push for him to continue striving, improving and eventually enjoying entrepreneurial success.
